William and Rosalind Henderson formed Henderson Building Contractors in 1984. Operating from their family home, they carried out private domestic building work to the local area.
In 1994, the company progressed into the insurance industry, carrying out insurance claim repairs. Paul Henderson joined in 1995 to help with business demands and operations.
Insurance work surged in January 2005, allowing the business to move into its first commercial premises in Cramlington. Donna Henderson was recruited to manage administration and finance.
The business was incorporated in 2008, re-naming as Henderson Building Contractors Limited. Paul and Donna became company directors to drive the company forward. The business moved into new larger premises at 14 Atley Business Park, Cramlington.
Freak events in 2008 and 2012 seen the company rapidly expand. Substantial damage to both domestic and commercial properties generated vast amounts of revenue and increased our skilled workforce.
Following the 2012 surge, William and Rosalind Henderson retired from the company, passing down the family business to Paul and Donna.
Even though there have been no further major events, our workload has been continuous over the years, helping develop our expertise, commitment and friendly approach.
Thanks to a dedicated and committed workforce, the business continues to be a great success. The company is excited and looking forward to further growth in the years to come.
